Strictly Come Dancing makes its return to TV this evening, as a bunch of new stars take part in the glamour and the glitter of Ballroom dancing.

Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly host tonight’s red-carpet event in which this year’s celebrities are paired up with their professional partners.

Donning their dancing shoes are Olympic stars Victoria Pendleton and Louis Smith, former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan, Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh, Westlife’s Nicky Byrne, Daybreak’s showbiz editor Richard Arnold, actress Dani Harmer.

Plus, one-time children’s TV host Johnny Ball, model Jerry Hall, actors Sid Owen (EastEnders’ Ricky Butcher) and Colin Salmon, presenter Fern Britton, ex-Emmerdale star Lisa Riley, and actress and singer Denise Van Outen.

The stars will also take to the dance floor with a group number in front of the ever-critical Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel Horwood and new judge Darcey Bussell, who brings a wealth of expertise to the panel.

Will it be ballroom bliss, or dance floor disaster? Let the ballroom battle commence.
