The ninth round of the 2020 Formula One season takes place this weekend at Mugello in Tuscany.
Ferrari mark their 1,000th race here, on the track that they use for testing, but the Prancing Horses will hope to first get past Lewis Hamilton, who was looking to extend his championship lead and inflict more misery on his rivals, as he chases a record-equalling seventh Drivers’ Championship.
The Brit currently sits on 164 points, 47 ahead of second place man and fellow teammate, Valtteri Bottas. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen is third on 110 points.
Despite having been a fixture for a number of international series over the years, 2020 marks the first time that Mugello hosts a Formula 1 World Championship event.
All five sessions – practices, qualifying and the race – will be shown live on Sky Sports F1, while Channel 4 airs free-to-view highlights of qualifying and the race.
