The 149th Open Golf Championship will take place from Thursday 15th to Sunday 18th July at Royal St George’s Golf Club in Sandwich, England.
The event was originally scheduled for July 2020 but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This will be the 15th Open Championship played at Royal St George’s, and the first since Darren Clarke won in 2011.
Shane Lowry is defending the title he won at Royal Portrush two years ago but most of the leading players in the world will be in Sandwich to challenge for the Claret Jug.
All four days of the tournament will be shown exclusively live on Sky Sports, while the BBC airs nightly highlights.
