The 2023 Qatar Grand Prix will take place this weekend (6-8th October) at the Lusail International Circuit in Lusail, Qatar.
Coming into the weekend, Max Verstappen leads the Drivers’ Championship by 177 points from teammate Sergio Perez, with Lewis Hamilton third, a further 33 points behind.
Red Bull Racing, having secured the title at the preceding Japanese Grand Prix, leads the Constructors’ Championship over Mercedes by 318 points and Ferrari by a further 20 points.
Current World Drivers’ Championship leader Verstappen has an opportunity to secure his third title and third in a row.
Verstappen can achieve the title by finishing sixth in the sprint, with Perez winning. Should Verstappen fail to score in the sprint and Perez wins, Verstappen will still only need to finish eighth in the Grand Prix – regardless of Perez’s result – to be crowned World Champion.
All five sessions – practice, qualifying, sprint, and the race – will be shown live on Sky Sports F1, while Channel 4 airs highlights of quali, sprint and the race.
