The final Premier League fixture of week two takes place this evening as Manchester City host Everton.
The match, held at the Etihad Stadium will be shown live on Sky Sports.
Both of these sides have invested heavily in player recruitment during the summer transfer window as they look to bolster their squads, so it will be interesting to see whether they have had enough time to settle in as they take to the field tonight.
The most recent meeting between the sides ended in a 4-0 Everton win at Goodison Park in January. It was the Toffees’ biggest Premier League win against City, and the heaviest league defeat of Pep Guardiola’s managerial career.
City are unbeaten in their last seven home games against Everton, including six Premier League meetings. The Merseysiders’ most recent win at the Etihad Stadium was in December 2010, when Leighton Baines and Tim Cahill scored in a 2-1 victory.
Coverage begins at 7.00pm on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event, where David Jones will be joined in the studio by Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher.
The trio will review the weekend’s action, which saw Chelsea win 2-1 over local rivals Tottenham, and Manchester United secure a second 4-0 win of the new campaign.
