UEFA Champions League 2012

Liverpool host Real Madrid in UEFA Champions League 2020/21 quarter-finals this evening.

This second-leg clash takes place at Anfield and will be shown on BT Sport.

For the third season running, Liverpool welcome a Spanish side to Anfield needing to overturn a first-leg deficit after Real Madrid were 3-1 winners on home soil.

Madrid, who also beat Liverpool 3-1 in the 2018 UEFA Champions League final – the sides’ last meeting before this season – seized control of this tie with a dominant display in the Spanish capital.

First-half goals from Vinicius Junior and Marco Asensio put Madrid in charge and, though Mohamed Salah revived Liverpool’s hopes six minutes after half-time, Vinicius Junior gave Madrid a two-goal cushion to take to Merseyside with his second of the night in the 65th minute.

The winners of this tie will face Chelsea in the semi-final.

Coverage gets underway at 7.00pm on BT Sport 2 with live streaming on BTSport.com and via the BT Sport App.

Kick-off 8.00pm.

BT Sport will also air Manchester City’s visit to Borussia Dortmund on BT Sport 3 from 7.15pm.
