England take on Japan on Sunday evening (17th Sept) as the 2023 Rugby World Cup continues.

This Pool D encounter, held at Stade de Nice in France, will be shown exclusively live on ITV1.

The sides last met in 2018 at Twickenham, when England recorded a 35-15 victory, but they will not be taking Japan lightly this time around after they reached the quarter-finals in 2019, having announced themselves on the world stage four years earlier with a victory over South Africa.

However, while England have not been in stellar form over the past year, they often find their best form during a World Cup, as they did four years ago when they were runners-up to the South Africans.

Mark Pougatch will be live on ITV1 and ITV1 HD from 7.15pm, where he will be joined in the studio by Jonny Wilkinson, Clive Woodward and Lawrence Dallaglio.

Reports come from Jill Douglas and Ugo Monye with match commentary from Nick Mullins and Ben Kay.

Kick-off 8.00pm.
