Al Michaels to miss out on Playoff football at NBC this season

Al Michaels NFL on NBC Commentator Sunday Night Football

NFL commentator Al Michaels will not feature in NBC’s postseason coverage this season, according to the New York Post.

Michaels – A former play-by-play commentator of NBC’s Sunday Night Football – called last year’s Jaguars comeback win over the Chargers for the network.

NBC has four playoff games next month with Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth handling three of them, and NBC’s Big Ten team of Noah Eagle, Todd Blackledge and sideline reporter Kathryn Tappen working the fourth game.

Michaels had a storied run at ABC and NBC calling prime-time football before moving to Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video last year.
