Three former Olympians went mad yesterday when cheering home Great Britain’s Mo Farah in the 10,000 metres.

Denise Lewis, Colin Jackson and Michael Johnson were sat in the BBC TV studio inside the Olympic Stadium.

Mo Farah winning the Olympic 10,000m gold sealed off a fantastic night for British athletics. Moments before his race, Jessica Ennis won the heptathlon gold and Greg Rutherford snatched gold in the long jump.

Farah, the 29-year-old world 5,000m champion, crossed the line in 27 minutes 30.42 seconds, with his training partner Galen Rupp in silver and Ethiopia’s Tariku Bekele in bronze.

EDIT: The trio done the same tonight with Usain Bolt’s win, he won gold in the 100 metres.
