Peter Drury will officially join Sky Sports to cover Premier League football from the 2023/24 season.
He will replace Martin Tyler who announced earlier this week that he is leaving Sky Sports after 33 years with the broadcaster.
Peter was with ITV Sport as their number two football commentator from 1998 to 2012, and spent last season as the lead commentator for the Premier League on NBC – a role he will continue.
He joins the Sky Sports football commentating cast of Rob Hawthorne, Bill Leslie, Seb Hutchinson, Dan Mann, Gary Weaver and Ian Crocker.
Huge changes are taking place at Sky Sports ahead of the new season with the end of Soccer AM, Jeff Stelling leaving Soccer Saturday, and reports by the Daily Mail that many iconic reporters are set to leave the station.
Geoff Shreeves has reportedly been asked to take a hefty salary reduction to keep his job, while Guy Havord, Dickie Davis, Bianca Westwood, Greg Whelan, Lynsey Hooper and Jaydee Dyer are all set to leave.
