London Marathon 2024 – Live TV Coverage on BBC One, Highlights on BBC Two

The 2024 London Marathon will take place on 21 April 2024.

This will be the 44th running of the Marathon and will includes the notable landmarks of Buckingham Palace, Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf.

There are total of 578,374 people who have already decided to take part and have applied via a ballot, which had become most ballot entries for a marathon event in Guinness World Records.

Kelvin Kiptum of Kenya won the elite men’s race in 2023 in a course record time of 2:01:25, but tragically died in a road accident two months ago.

Marathon debutante Sifan Hassan of the Netherlands took the honours in the elite women’s race despite struggling with a hip injury.

Meanwhile, the men’s and women’s wheelchair events were won by Switzerland’s Marcel Hug and Madison de Rozario of Australia respectively.

Gabby Logan will present live coverage of the 26.2-mile race on the BBC. She will be joined by commentators Andrew Cotter, Steve Cram, Paula Radcliffe and Tanni Grey-Thompson, with reports from Steve Brown, JJ Chalmers and Jeanette Kwakye.

Coverage starts at 8.30am on BBC One before moving over to BBC Two at 2.00pm.

A hour long highlights programme will air on BBC Two at 6.00pm.
