The first ‘Clare Balding Show’ will air this evening on the newly created BT Sport.

The weekly live studio talk show will delve into the lives of the biggest names in sport and the people and stories behind the weekly headlines.

At the heart of each show are in-depth interviews with three of the world’s sporting greats from A List talent, to national and international legendary icons, to the best in women’s sport – when the stars talk they’ll talk to Clare.

Complementing the big interviews will be topical studio debates on the issues hitting both the headlines and the Twitter feeds, where resident interactive expert Christian Howes will trawl through the best of the social web to find the trending clips and the virals.

Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: “We are very excited to be co-producing the new Clare Balding show on BT Sport.

“Working closely with Clare, we want to shine a spotlight on a variety of different sports and really give the viewers the inside track on their sporting heroes.”

Katherine Grainger, Harry Redknapp and Rio Ferdinand will be Clare’s special guest on tonight’s show.

The 90-minute long show will air every Thursday at 8pm
