The 2017 Solheim Cup will be held from Friday 18th – Sunday 20th August at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa.
This will be the 15th edition of the Solheim Cup, a biennial team competition between the top women professional golfers from Europe and the United States.
It is a three-day match play event between teams of twelve players with a similar format to the Ryder Cup.
Juli Inkster captains the U.S. team for the second time, while Annika Sörenstam captains the European team for the first time.
All three days of the tournament will be carried live on Sky Sports, including the opening ceremony, which is live on Thursday 17th August from 11pm on Sky Sports Golf.
The main coverage gets underway with the foursomes from 2pm on Friday, this is followed by the fourballs. The pairing’s for the first round of foursomes will be announced during the opening ceremony.
The same format follows for Saturday, and coverage of the 12 singles matches starts at 2pm on Sunday.
The United States is the defending team, having won the cup in 2015.
