The 2017 World Snooker Championship will take place at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield from Saturday 15th April to Monday 1 May 2017.
The BBC and British Eurosport will have live coverage of every session, including the semi-finals and the final over the May Day bank holiday.
Last year’s title went to Englishman Mark Selby – the current world number one – after a thrilling 18-14 victory against Ding Junhui.
‘The Jester from Leicester’ returns to Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre to defend his crown against the best players in the world, including Ronnie O’Sullivan, Shaun Murphy and Neil Robertson.
BBC
The BBC’s coverage will be fronted by Hazel Irvine and Jason Mohammad.
The commentary team includes Stephen Hendry, Dennis Taylor and Peter Ebdon.
Eurosport
Colin Murray will present Eurosport’s live studio coverage of the World Championship from the Crucible Theatre with analysis from Eurosport ambassador Ronnie O’Sullivan, Jimmy White and Neal Foulds.
Eurosport’s commentary team will feature 1986 world champion Joe Johnson and former world number six Mike Hallett.
