The opening weekend of Six Nations 2019 continues at Murrayfield this afternoon as Scotland host Italy.
Scotland won both of their home matches in the 2018 tournament on their way to finishing third in the standings behind Ireland and Wales, while Italy finished bottom of the pile for the third successive year.
With some promising performances in the autumn internationals, and their players facing stiff competition for places in this year’s World Cup squad, the Scots’ improving strength in depth should be enough to see off any resistance from the visitors.
Gabby Logan will be live on BBC One and BBC One HD from 1.45pm, where she’ll be joined in the studio by Andy Nicol, John Barclay and Jeremy Guscott.
