The UEFA Super Cup takes place at the Lerkendal Stadion in Trondheim, Norway, this evening, where Champions League winners Real Madrid take on the winners of the Europa League, Sevilla.

The match will be shown live on BT Sport 2 and BT Sport 2 HD from 7.00pm. The match will also be streamed live on BTSport.com and via the BT Sport App.

Sevilla become the first team to play in three straight UEFA Super Cups and once again take on Spanish opposition as they face Real Madrid in a rematch of their 2014 encounter.

Sevilla will hope to emulate their 2006 defeat of Barcelona rather than the 2014 loss to Real Madrid and 5-4 extra-time reverse against the Blaugrana 12 months ago in Tbilisi.

The sides have met 177 times in all competitions, with Madrid recording 94 wins to Sevilla’s 54. There have been 29 draws. In La Liga last season, Sevilla won 3-2 at home in November but Madrid gained revenge 4-0 in March.

The match kicks-off at 7.45pm

ITV will air highlights from 10.40pm this evening, where Jacqui Oatley is joined in the studio by Lee Dixon and Glenn Hoddle. Commentary comes from Sam Matterface and Andy Townsend.
