The 2016/17 English Football League season gets underway this evening as Fulham host Newcastle United.

The match takes place at Craven Cottage and will be shown exclusively live on Sky Sports 1.

Rafa Benitez has attempted to invigorate new life into the Newcastle squad with a number of signings over the summer, including the likes of Dwight Gayle, Matt Richie and Isaac Hayden.

The home side has won the last seven meetings between these sides, with four of those for Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Newcastle have kept just one clean sheet in their last 25 away league games versus Fulham – a 1-0 win in December 2007. They’ve lost the last five since then.

Coverage starts at 7.00pm on Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 1 HD with live streaming on Sky’s internet services, Now TV and Sky Go.

Kick-off 7.45pm
