England v Malta – Live TV Coverage on ITV

England take on Malta this evening in a World Cup 2018 Group F qualifier at Wembley Stadium.

The match will be shown live on ITV as Gareth Southgate takes charge of the Three Lions following the shock departure of Sam Allardyce, who left the post after a newspaper reported he had offered advice on how to `get around’ player transfer rules.

Allardyce’s one and only game as England manager was a win away to Slovakia last month, but the victory was laboured and came as a result of a last-gasp winner from Adam Lallana.

They shouldn’t need to improve too much to defeat today’s opponents, who were battered by Scotland in their opener, but a trip to Slovenia on Wednesday is likely to be a greater test of whether the players have progressed since their dismal displays at Euro 2016.

The match will be shown live on ITV and ITV HD from 4.30pm, where Mark Pougatch is joined in the studio by Ryan Giggs, Ian Wright and Lee Dixon.

Match commentary comes from Clive Tyldesley and Glenn Hoddle. Kick-off 5.00pm.

The match will also be streamed live via the ITV Hub, and Jacqui Oatley will have highlights of this match and the home nations from 11.30pm on ITV. She’ll be joined by Robbie Fowler and Ally McCoist.
