ITV will broadcast the international friendly between England and Italy this evening.

The match takes place at Wembley Stadium, as England continue their preparations for the 2018 World Cup.

With the tournament in Russia only a few months away, Gareth Southgate will see this encounter as an ideal opportunity to assess some of the members in his squad, and potentially play one or two players who have previously been on the fringe of contention, but looking to force their way into his plans.

England will have two more friendlies before their opening World Cup group stage encounter against Tunisia on 18th June.

They will host Nigeria on 2nd June and Costa Rica five days later on 7th June.

Jesse Lingard scored his first international goal when the Three Lions defeated the Netherlands 1-0 last week.

Mark Pougatch will be live on ITV from 7.30pm, where he will be joined in the studio by Lee Dixon, Ian Wright and Slaven Bilic.

Match commentary comes from Clive Tyldesley and Glenn Hoddle.

Kick-off 8.00pm.

Highlights will be shown on the same channel from 11.05pm. The match will also be streamed live via the ITV hub.
