The 2017 Cheltenham Festival will take place this week (14-18th March) with live TV coverage on ITV.
The coverage marks the first time ITV has screened live racing from the Cheltenham Festival and features 20 hours of live footage, taking in five races per day.
ITV’s coverage will also go behind the scenes at the course, featuring interviews with key jockeys, trainers and racing legends, sampling the atmosphere in the grandstands, all leading up to the showpiece Gold Cup on Friday afternoon.
‘The Opening Show’ will also be extended to 90 minutes – starting at 9.30am every day of the festival.
ITV Racing presenter Ed Chamberlin will be joined by Sir AP McCoy, Luke Harvey and Mick Fitzgerald, with on-course reporting from Oli Bell and in the paddock with Alice Plunkett.
Matt Chapman will have the latest betting news and Brian Gleeson will provide an Irish angle on the action.
Weather presenter Lucy Verasamy will provide essential weather forecasts, Victoria Pendleton will report from behind the scenes, and expert Eva O’Donoghue will give her views from a veterinary perspective. Richard Hoiles will be in the commentary box.
ITV’s coverage will also be streamed live on the ITV Hub.
