Involved with hospital radio at Oxford University, then Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism Studies at Cardiff University, and joined the BBC as a News Trainee

As Chief Correspondent at GMTV from its launch; before that as a reporter for BBC Breakfast News, before that as a reporter at BBC South
What is your Best on-air moment?
Oh so many! Luring President Nelson Mandela into a live interview during a walk-about springs to mind
What is your Worst on-air moment?
If there were any, I’ve forgotten them!
What advice would you give to anyone that would like to get into the broadcasting world?
Get work experience, find out about what the jobs entail, knock on doors
