— The Deputy Head of Sky News, Simon Cole, is quitting management to return to the newsdesk.

Cole said on Twitter: “I am returning to the Sky newsdesk in September. Giving up management for return to front line. Exciting! Watch out BBC.”

— Channel 4 News new signing [[Matt Frei]] is being shown round ITV Newsroom. (via @itvnewsinsider)

Matt has joined Channel 4 as correspondent and will be based in Washington DC.

— Former Sky Sports football pundit, [[Andy Gray]], has agreed a settlement of £20,000 in damages plus costs in relation to the phone hacking scandal at the News of the World.
