Kay Burley will return to Sky News this Monday (7th June) after serving a 6 month suspension.
“See you on Monday. Hope you’re as happy as I am to be back,” Kay said.
Kay – who joined Sky in 1988 – was suspended in December 2020 for breaking COVID-19 rules.
Political editor Beth Rigby and correspondent Inzamam Rashid were also suspended for three months following an internal review at Sky News after the trio attended Kay’s 60th birthday celebrations.
At the time Sky News said: “Everyone at Sky News is expected to comply with the rules and the company takes breaches like this very seriously indeed.”
Thanks so much for all your kind words both on social media and via email. I’ve missed you too.
See you from 7am on Monday? Do hope so ?? https://t.co/1Z7c5ziXzH
