ITV’s Crime correspondent, Dan Rivers will become Bangkok correspondent for both CNN and ITV News in a joint deal.

He will be covering south-east Asia for CNN International and CNN’s American network, as well as ITV News.

He will take up his post in the next couple of weeks.

John Irvine, currently in Bangkok for ITV News, is moving to head the organisation’s new bureau in Beijing.
