Kaitlan Collins will host the 9.00pm slot on CNN, it’s just been announced.
Warner Bros. Discovery are holding their Upfront at Madison Square Garden this morning where they made the announcement.
In her new programme, officially launching later this summer, Kaitlan will bring fresh reporting that adds new perspective to the biggest stories of the day – CNN Said.
Collins was hired by CNN in July 2017 as part of the team covering presidential news.
As a member of the press corps, Collins reported on at least half a dozen of Trump’s international presidential trips.
She served as the CNN White House correspondent for a large part of the televised live coverage of the 2020 United States presidential election.
In September 2022, CNN announced that Collins would move to co-hosting a revamped CNN morning show with Don Lemon and Poppy Harlow, ending her tenure as chief White House correspondent.
The 9pm slot was left vacant by Chris Cuomo, who was ousted in the wake of revelations he assisted his brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, when he was fighting against claims of sexual harassment.
