Expect to see a new sky sports studio in the new year.

News is, When sky news move out into there new studio accross the road. Sky Sports News is going to move into the sky news studio.

This will then make way, for a major upgrade to sky studio 3. Which is based next to Sports news and sky news.

Of course this is all just rumour.

Hope that is true, because the sky sports news studio looks dated now. The presenters who work on that are probably so used to sitting down that it would come as a shock moving to a studio where it sometimes requires you to stand up.

The Sky Sports News studio looks so cramped, it would be nice to have an updated set. What else would they do with the unused Sky News studio once they move into their plush new one?

Rumours suggest that Sky News won't be shifting to their new plush sexy double deck massive newswall studio until AFTER the next general election - be that February or May or whenever.

So Sky Sports would have to wait until after that!

That is only a rumour, and Studio 3 will not be recieving a makeover, sadly, as it is the worst studio to work in. Studio 7 is to be upgraded first to high-def, and Studio 4 will get Studio 7's kit and go digital. Why they don't just make 4 high-def is beyond me, it means two new studios to get used to.

I am personally in favour of moving SSN to Studio 2 as they can use the newsroom behind as their newsroom, and Studio 1 can be restored to a full-size studio again as Studio 2 isn't all that big.

As for when Sky News moves across the road is anyones guess. The rumours I've heard back from people over there that it might be a while yet. As for Five news, that will be January as that is contracted.
