Does anybody else get fed up hearing the words, "hello there, good morning", when certain female Sky News presenters are on air?
It is very unprofessional to greet the viewers in such a manner. Please Sky producers, enlighten your otherwise professional news presenters. Emma is one of the worst offenders for doing this.
Double greeting
Hardly any worse than the presenters on the terrestrial Breakfast TV channels who, every 30 minutes, greet their news summarisers as if they are long lost friends that they haven't seen for 10 years.
Rigid formats, reliant on cliches and hackneyed phrases, prevail throughout the TV News business.
Ms Rao brought a refreshing, and overdue, breath of fresh air to Sky News as she has a different 'style' to the job - especially with the ad lib.
