Ray Kennedy has been brilliant tonight - he was doing a live between 8.40pm - 9.00pm on the anti-EU protests in Dublin.

Ray was right at the front of the protesters line - taking shoots from the water cannons - but his luck ran out - his camera and Mic was soaked - the camera was giving a purple shot of the scene and it sounded like he was talking under water.

EDIT: Rays back live. but on mobile

You're right, johnnie - it was excellent reporting and pics. Would it border on conspiracy if I said I be the police probably sprayed the camera deliberately.. ...just my first thought..

I was woundering why there wasn't any live shots, now I know. Also was Lisa laughing at something briefly on News at Ten during the news if brief about EasyJet. Well I dunno if you classify it as a laugh because it was minuscule. But I notice these CRAZY things lol!

Can anyone remember anytimes when presenters have almost laughed during or between a serious story?

I remember watching the gorgeous Emma Crosby introducing a report about vigilante killings in South Africa, the report went on with this woman whose little girl had been killed by crossfire during a shootout, the report was a few minutes long and included the woman talking about her little girl, the report ended showing the woman clutching a piece of her daughters clothing and crying then faded back to newsdesk where Emma was laughing and had a big giggly smile on her face. I guess something else was going on in the newsroom that was making her laugh but it did look like she was laughing at the report!

Emma Crosby - If I'm thinking of the right presenter, she is always smiling and laughing.
