Sky is going to find itself losing a lot of good presenters, its an insult to the likes of Sam Simmonds and Colin Brazier to do 2 minute news reports

Where is Sarah Hughes today? They have Ursula Errington doing the Diana Court Case today.

I'm guessing she's inside court, its likely Ursula was inside court yesterday. They'll probably do one day in, one day out.

I don't GET it?!

Why is there a bar across the top of the screen?

Why have they only got Martin Stanford presenting for half an hour a day?

Why do I care what the most clicked stories on the internet are?

Why why why have they abandoned the 2 presenter format???

Is it my imagination or is News 24 now just a better funded version of what Sky News used to be?

It's hardly an insult to Samantha, previously she only done the odd overnight shift.

It makes me laugh, a few months ago Colin was working from 9am to 5pm, last week was doing Live at 5 and now he is only fit to do about 30mins of air time per day.

Sky have messed up, in a few months when they decide they are going to change it all round again they may find they dont have enough presenters to do a 2 presenter line up again, I cant see these people sticking around to do so little

Freeview viewers won't be the only ones paying to watch Sky News, Wotsat has learned.

Following this news, we asked if Sky News would also lose its free-to-air status on other platforms. A Sky spokesman replied: "We envisage Sky News becoming a subscription channel across all platforms."

Although I think it fair that a commercial company such as sky should be allowed to put SkyNews on any platform they want, after all they have no PSB obligations to supply any news (except, indirectly Five news).

Now ITN have withdrawn from supplying 24hr news I feel there should be some sort of obligation for skynews to be on all platforms, perhaps Ofcom could give them some sort of carrot. After decades of BBC propoganda I don't think it right that their only competition should be the likes of Al Jezerra or France24.

There was a lengthy report from ofcom a few weeks back going on about plurality of news supply which hardly mentioned Sky. To me television news moved on over a decade ago from the "appointment to view" - I want the news when i turn the tele on - years ago when i came on i looked at teletext/ceefax first thing now i turn on sky

Let's be honest, Sky News doesn't know what it wants, where it's going or what it roles is. Suddenly it has abandoned the idea of being a news channel in favour of the cult of the personality, if you can call Holmes, Etchingham and Burley that. Surely what is happening in the world is more important than the person presenting it? And if it wasn't free to air who would pay for it? No one. Beginning of the end? Probably not, but by spring there'll be another change.

Skynews seems to look like a football team , with a cadre of 30 players : 5-6 stars and the remaining 24-25 players trying to get the 5-6 remaining places.

Here also there are few stars ( Eamon, Julie, Kay, Jeremy ,Anna J and Anna B ) , while only few of the remaining others talented members of the staff are condemned to read news of 3-4 minutes twice every hours , without interviewing or interaction ( as the remarkable Bob Friend and Anna botting tandem few years ago ).

Something must be changed.

Sarah Hughes and Ursula Errington are in Paris with the Jurors from the Diana inquest. Greg Milam, Sky's European correspondent, is also live in Paris.

what rubbish!

Sky is faster, pacier, punchier and harder than ever before. BBC 24 and other channels look soft and fluffy in comparision.
