Viewpoint blog:

Regular readers of my blog will know that I told you in the post I made a couple of weeks ago Wiki-d Whispers that "if you want to know what's really happening at Sky News, read my blog".

I have just been told of some changes which will be taking place so thought it right to share them with you.

Martin Stanford is moving to present Sky News Today from 0900-1200.

In addition, Sunrise will be simulcast on Sky One from 0600-0900 Monday to Friday starting on Monday, February 26.

The content of the 2000-2200 hours will change to give you a full summary of news, sport and weather in 15-minute cycles, similar to the programming on weekend afternoons.

I take it replacing Colin Brazier? edit; Yes, he is.

I rather liked Stanfords show...what'll happen to technofile, or is that just going to be on Saturday Live?

Sky really are going down the pan now with their evening [8PM +] and weekend [12PM +] scheduling....c'est la vie....

The biggest news from this is that Sky News along with Sky Sports News and Sky Three will be removed from the Freeview channel line-up as Sky will be launching their own DTT subscription service in the summer.

I'm not too bothered as I have Sky too, but I bet BBC News 24 are smiling at this decision!
