Could this be the start of a major charity campaign to get new ties for the male sky presenters? Could this be the start of Tie-Aid? Does anyone have Bono's phone number?

Good Idea! I think there is a great need for 'Tie Aid' at Sky News. I have seen one navy tie on colin and every other male presenter

I'm sure a rummage around Jon Snows wardrobe would reveal some colourful ties....Tim Marshall has sported some strangely coloured ones lately....and Francis...

This blue tie by any chance?

Thats the tie!!

I think the worst ties in the tv news world belong to James Mates on ITV News, they are awful, he has some really bad ties.

I like colins hair in that pic

I can't quite see him spending his evenings deep in concentration over a model of a spitfire can you? Incidently I wonder if he suffers from the same sock affliction as Jon Snow?

I cant imagine him doing Airfix! I have never had a glimpse of Colin's Socks, can anyone enlighten me!

It would be interesting to see him on that, I can imagine he could be very funny in that environment.

Has anyone evr actually e-mailed the good man himself? This is just a suggestion but given the way He stares at Julie Etchingham's chest (it started at about the same time as the arm waving) and how He was rendered speechless by the sight of Katherine Jenkins bursting out of her frock at the start of the poppy campaign, I would imagine that if you started your e-mail along the lines of "Dear Colin, I am blonde and have large breasts" you might be in with a good chance of getting a reply

sizeo:1/sizeosizeo:2/sizeoHere's a slight suggestion.....sizec/sizec

Dear Colin,

Frequent Posters of the TV newsroom [on a thread entitled "Hats off to Brazier" in recognition of your outstanding contribution to Sky News] have a few questions that they would like an answer to, if you don't mind.

Firstly;

What are your favourite coloured socks, and where do you buy your socks from?

Secondly;

Is there a shortage of ties at Sky News Centre among the male presenters, only no-one [with the exception of the Weatherman Francis] appears to have a wide varity of ties, and the plain blue tie has been sported by everyone. Is there a need for Tie-Aid?

Thirdly;

Would you ever consider appearing on "Have I got News for You" only we all think you'd make an excellent pannelist.

Fourthly;

Could you prance about in a cat-suit pretending to be George Galloway at some point on Sky News? Seeing as the BBC Newsreaders get to dress up and go "Back to the 80's" and "Tribute to Bohemian Rhapsody" each year, Sky News is rapidly falling behind in the comedy stakes....with the exception of your wit! And perhaps Sky News could do a spoof of the BBC News spoof with a George Galloway cat suit?

Ok, my English turned to pish there, I've run out of ideas sizec/sizec
