Channel 4 News with Jon Snow is great, just look at those ties he wears! But I never watch the whole 55 minutes, its just too long, especially when Eastenders starts. I see Kirsty Lang more on fictional docu-dramas than actually presenting real news, but thats because I don't watch BBC 4 often.

Jon Snow has a fair way to go to beat Adam Boulton on the werid teis front!

Yes she is good at her job but other female presenters like Vivienne,Juliette,Julie and Anna are excellent at their job.

In the world of television news good is just not enough-you need to be excellent and I truly believe Kay Burley should not be on the important slot she is now-Juliette or Vivienne or Karin or Paula would be far far far far far far better. Thats my personal opinion anyway

I have to say Jeremy Thompson is my all-time fave.

He's very dashing, with a traditional newsreader voice, and an interest in everyone who he interviews (I refer you to his D-Day coverage).

Plus, his appearance in Shaun of the Dead had me doubled over.

Jeremy Thompson is awesome... quite simply world class. He ranks with the very best of the BBC and ITN giants of the past. Serious subjects, light-hearted interviews, spontenous fillers, he's terrific. He doesn't need all the fancy use of the studio spearheaded by Martin, all the life and movement are in his voice. Vote Jeremy (and oust Kay in the Big Brother vote!)

The best presenter for me will always be Viv, she was on in the evenings when i started watching Sky news which was during the OJ trial. In a previous post someone said the good old days were when Juliette Foster and Chris Rogers presented the 10 O'clock slot, the good old days were when Viv was on 5 nights a week and presented with Jeremy Thompson. Now we have amateurs on in her slot, the worst being Emma Crosby, I'd rather see Juliette foster so that should tell you how bad I think she is. The only thing worse would be to have Kay Burley on in the evening then I would stop watching Sky news.
