I think its a case of wanting to make it clear that Sky doesnt support those claims so that there isnt 4000 muslims outside the studio trying to burn it to the ground

a lot of the people who have their emails read out on Sky do tend to be very right wing. Some of the emails they were getting in the aftermath of the July 7 bombings were bordering on racist. Also a poll they had about the BNP a few months back had aboiut 70% saying they would consider voting for them.

it's not 'politically correct' to distance themselves from such sentiments, just sensible.

Exactly, if Sky was seen approving of the views against Muslims and Islam then they will become a target

'political correctness' is annoying. We cant say anything yet muslims were protesting outside catherdral yesterday and nobody says a thing. I might go down to the london mosque and start an anti-muslim protest and see how long it is until im arrested. I thought we were living in a christian country. Pisses me off and its not that im a racist!

damn right!

you know what annoys me about all this latest lark with the pope?

the fact that 99.9% of the people critisising him haven't actually read all of what he said!

and i'll say what i always say in thee situations too - any moral high ground they take about being offended they undo when they start burning effigy's of the pope and start chanting and protesting "death to the unbelievers".

Her profile on the Sky News Green Room site now reads;

She regularly anchors Sunrise, Sky News Today and Sky News' weekend programming.

Instead of the "Emma co-presents Weekend Sunrise with Steve Dixon" which was there beforehand I believe?
