Sky Breaking News

It may just be me but it is really annoying when sky break news now because you hear the 'whoosh' sound and then the breaking news banner just sits there and you have to wait to find out what the news is.

I prefer it the way it was before the relaunch because the sound got your attention and the news was straight on the screen.

Hope this makes sense, probably could have worded it better :rolleyes:

I understand what you're saying.. but i think the new breaking news method is better, I think the idea is to get your attention while the text prod writes out the breaking news.

I've also notice that they've got a single line and dual line breaking news strap, which is better than a 2 line half empty strap like the one below.

Is it perhaps a way of breaking the news even earlier, with the banner and then type the text.
