Sky News Relaunch
I'm not sure about the coffee table: it seems a bit of a squash. And what's with the "Breakfast with Frost" half-filled glasses of orange juice? I reckon they haven't got tea mugs with the new logo!
Another gripe: Kate Bush and Robbie are NOT news and shouldn't be run on from the headlines.
I quite like the "chatty" sports news, but it will depend on the two presenters. Jacqui Beltrao is very at ease and can do it well, but with a few other sports presenters it could be a disaster.
Why are all the trailers for programmes later in the day in 4:3 by the way?

Love the title sequence, studio and all the glitz and glamour.
The only thing on the down side is the straps. I was hoping they'd look like the versions in promotional literature - yet the story catchline and reporter name look a bit basic and an after thought compared to other fantastic graphics.
I also like how they're utilising the three musketeers - sorry presenters. I take it Martin and Mark will be the leads on these shifts.
FANTASLAGORCAL - as Daffy would say!!!

itv news are fighting back with a long interview in the studio with Tony Benn, 'live with alistair stewart' ..personally, i'm listening to that. ..but not for alistair.
& later, sir jeremy greenstock (fmr US ambass. during iraq03, is coming in for an interview about his new, controversial book - whitehall are censoring it. should be interesting.. more interesting than gypsies, imo.

Judgement reserved on the three-presenter format. I didn't like the top-of-the-hour headlines (although Anna Botting was in the middle it reminded me of John Cleese and the two Ronnies in the Frost Report...), but it got a bit more flexible later in the hour. All in all, I hope it doesn't all become too formula-driven (It's 10.13 so I've got to be sitting at the desk, etc.)
Pleased that Martin is wearing his glasses without hurriedly whipping them off when he thinks the camera is on him!

I love the New Sky Relaunch.
Great Titles, and love the "Live from Sky Centre, this is Sky News", while we can see a presenter going back to there sit.
Breaking News graphics is very sharp, and I love it, along with the Graphics.
Sky News Active, does go quick. No menu, and just straight. Sunrise was fab, so I can't wait for the rest of the day!

First Impressions: Lots of people have obviously been working very hard for months. It's a great new look. Fantastic new studio. The music's more exciting. The weather graphics are impressive.
They may need to consider whether the coastline needs to be thicker on the windflow chart. I'm not sure about the symbol sound going into the breaks. The format may need to be relaxed a bit to ensure Eamon Holmes's in his element more of the time (interviewing and ad-libbing than than rigidly sticking to a script). The video-wall presenting position is particularly impressive, though the join-lines on it are fairly visible.

Not sure i like the position of the SKY NEWS logo and clock at the bottom of the screen. I think the whole studio is impressive though. I can imagine Kay Burley is missing an on screen partner to overshadow. Mark, Ginny and Steve appears to be a constructive combination. By the way, after julie's programme at 7, i doubt i or the public will have an appetite for another discussion programme at 8.
