What a Fantastic way to use the newswall - playing 2 pieces of VT from the same story whist doing a Live
Agreed. It does look good. However, it is very ITV News. But I must say to those who have compared the whole make-over to ITV - RUbbISH. ITV immitated Sky News (a poor attempt it has to be said) and now SKy have leap frogged in sensational style.

Well all in all - a fantastic day for SKY News. Yet am I alone in being dubious about this three presenters set up. Perhaps it will be our version of 'Fox and Friends'. Or as someone said 'The Two Annas and Co'
I may offend everyone here - but to hell with it - if I hear Kate Bush again I'll sweem and sweem til I'm sick!!
I hope that they keep the titles, as they are great. A bit like '5 News' original titles way back in 1997 with fast studio shots.

Well I've been very impressed with Sky News throughout the day, and the changes are growing on me.
However another grumble to add: the CBS half-hour slots during the night are awful now - there's no Sky News logo and clock! They've taken the logo/ticker strap off during the CBS show, so you've got absoloutely nothing on screen to tell you that it's Sky News, and also can't tell the time from looking at the screen.
What's more, the CBS report is in 4:3, so has huge black borders at the side of the screen. Results in a pretty unsatisfactory situation as far as I'm concerned. It needs the logo, and the clock. And ideally it needs that whole ticker strap, and stretching/fitting to fit 16:9 (or popping back out of 16:9 format for those twice-nightly half hours)

Wow this is so bizarre - they've just added the logo and clock (on it's own) to the screen during the CBS output... what was that someone jokingly said earlier in this topic about them listening to me?
"just" the 16:9/4:3 issue to deal with now, although I'd imagine that's probably a harder one - especially when they aren't the provider of the (CBS) content so have to make do with 4:3 source material...
