Started in BBC local radio after finishing university .

Why news broadcasting?
I enjoy the buzz of chasing a story and have always been interested in current affairs. I also enjoy the theatre of television and working with pictures – it is a very powerful medium.

Where else would have viewers seen or heard you before?
I worked for BBC Radio York before joining Tyne Tees Television as a reporter based in Middlesbrough. 2 years after joining i moved to Meridian TV as a sub-editor in Southampton and then later a reporter based in the Thames Valley..

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Cycling, reading and partying.

What advice would you give to anyone that would like to get into the broadcasting world?
Stick at it.
