BBC World is to launch a second edition of World News Today from Monday September 18.
The programme, which will be presented by Nik Gowing, will be broadcast at 2200 each weekday evening. The edition is in addition to the one which launched in July, presented by George Alagiah.
The programme is aimed at night time viewers in Europe and morning viewers in Asia.
