WWE has suspended former World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns.
World Wrestling Entertainment said: “WWE has suspended Joe Anoa`i (Roman Reigns) for 30 days effective immediately for his first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.”
Roman was defeated by Seth Rollins for the WWE Heavyweight Championship at last Sunday’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view event.
Roman Reigns told his 1.75m Twitter followers: “I apologize to my family, friends and fans for my mistake in violating WWE’s wellness policy. No excuses. I own it.”
Reigns is scheduled to do battle in a Triple Threat for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at the Battleground pay-per-view at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC on July 24th.
