Louise Minchin is a former presenter of BBC Breakfast
Louise started her career in journalism in the Latin American section of the BBC World Service and then moved on to the Today Programme.
Her first presenting job was at News Direct 97.3FM in London and she then worked for Channel Five’s entertainment programme Exclusive and also worked as a reporter for Five News.
Louise rejoined in the BBC in 1998, presenting for BBC News Channel and BBC Radio 5 Live. On Five Live she has presented Drive, Sport on Five and Breakfast. She started on BBC News 24 in September 2003.
Louise was born in Hong Kong and has a degree in Spanish from St Andrews University.
