Liz Pike was a relief presenter on BBC News 24.
When Liz joined the BBC, she initially presented on BBC World before moving to its sister channel in 1998. Liz trained on local newspapers before joining the BBC for the first time with the local radio in Kent.
Liz then joined IRN/LBC as a reporter, eventually moving to Central television in Birmingham, first as a reporter and then as presenter of the evening news programme. She moved on to Thames, presenting a weekly current affairs programme, Thames Reports, before moving to Thames News.
Liz was born in Wales and has two sons.
