Kate Grey is a sports reporter for the BBC.
Kate lost her left hand in a farming machinery accident when she was 2 years old. Aged four, her parents encouraged her to learn to swim.
She has been swimming internationally since debuting in 2006 at the World Championships and combined studying for a degree in Coach Education and Sports Development with training at the University of Bath pool.
Kate has medalled many times at World Championships but her highlight was competing at the Paralympic Games in Beijing 2008, coming 5th in the SB9 100m breaststroke final as well as competiting in the SM9 200m individual medley.
In 2010, Kate graduated from University of Bath.
