Diana Dougherty Sky Sports Golf

Diana Dougherty – Born 18 January 1979 – is a Golf presenter on Sky Sports.

Sky Sports

Diana joined Sky as a runner in February 2003. During that time she worked on golf, tennis, boxing, football and rugby.

Sky Sports News

Diana Dougherty became a presenter on Sky Sports News in July 2004 after a period working on the programmes production team.

Sky Sports Golf

From 2007 Diana presented a golf show alongside [[Robert Lee|Rob Lee]] called Golf Night, which ended when Sky won the PGA Tour contract to show U.S. golf on Sky Sports.

Diana hosts some PGA and European tour golf and acts as a reporter during the Majors. She opened and closed the 2010 Ryder Cup from Celtic Manor, Wales.

Education

Diana is a Newcastle University graduate with a degree in German and went on to drama school before joining Sky.

Golf

A huge golf fan, Diana is also pretty handy on the course herself. She first picked a set of clubs at the age of six and was soon representing Cheshire Girls’ and Cheshire Ladies’ teams at 17-years-old she had a handicap of 6! She played in the amateur teams during the Dunhill Links Championship in 2005.

Personal Life

She’s married former European Tour golfer, Nick Dougherty, at the Old Course at St Andrews on New Years Eve in 2010.
