Ben Ando is a reporter on Breakfast, the BBC’s early morning news programme.
Prior to this, Ben worked at Five News for seven years before leaving to join the BBC in 2005.
Before working at Five and the BBC, Ben worked as a reporter and newsreader on Independent Radio News (IRN) providing bulletins and reports for the UK’s network of Independent Local Radio stations.
During his career, Ben has covered many major stories including travelling to New York to cover the 9-11 attacks, working with the British Army in Kosovo and reporting from London and Paris on the death and funeral of the Princess of Wales.
Ben is married and lives in Cambridgeshire.
