Belgium face Panama in Group G of World Cup 2018 this afternoon, which takes place at the Fisht Stadium in Sochi.
This is the first-ever meeting between the two teams at international level and also Panama’s first appearance at the finals, after failing to qualify for every World Cup since their first attempt in 1978.
Los Canaleros reached the tournament after finishing third in the CONCACAF zone qualifying group, while for Belgium this will be their 13th appearance at the finals, with their best finish being fourth place at Mexico 1986.
Coach Roberto Martinez will be quietly confident that his squad, featuring Premier League stars including Thibaut Courtois, Vincent Kompany, Kevin de Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku, will be able to go all the way and claim their first-ever World Cup triumph.
Gary Lineker will be live on BBC One and BBC One HD from 3.30pm.
Match commentary comes from Steve Bower and Mark Lawrenson.
