Harry Redknapp and Mick McCarthy sign for Match of the Day

Former Premier Leauge managers, Harry Redknapp and Mick McCarthy have joined the BBC’s Match of the Day.

The programme, hosts by Gary Lineker and Colin Murray on Saturday and Sunday evenings, brings viewers a full round up of the weekend’s Premier League action.

Harry and Mick, who were popular members of the BBC’s Euro 2012 team, will appear alongside familiar faces Alan Hansen and Alan Shearer throughout the season.

On Sundays, Colin will continue to bring his irreverent style to proceedings as he looks back at the day’s games alongside a mix of these four big names, and special guest pundits.

Mark Lawrenson will also continues in his role as pundit.

The Premier League football season begins today, which means the first MOTD of the new season is tonight at 10.20pm on BBC One.
