Strictly Come Dancing contestant Anita Dobson has become the eighth celebrity to be eliminated from the show.
Last night Anita danced the Cha Cha with professional dancer Brendan Cole who had stepped in for the injured Robin Windsor. Len said he was impressed with Anita’s effort, while Craig said it lacked sharpness..
Holly Valance joined Anita in the bottom two but it was the former EastEnders star who had received the lowest number of public votes.
Robin, who couldn’t be at the studio, phoned in and said: “Anita darling, I just wanted to say you’ve been absolutely incredible and I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there with you tonight.
“It has been a pleasure to work with you. You have been one of the most enthusiastic and hard-working people I’ve ever, ever, ever met. I’m going to miss you dearly.”
Anita said: “He made this the most humorous, enjoyable, fun, wonderful learning experience you could ever imagine.
“Thank you so much. Can I just say thank you to Brendan too, because without him I wouldn’t have done this week.”
The show continues next Saturday, 7pm on BBC One.
